A PRINCE 2 practitioner (PRINCE 2p) is a person who has been certified in the PRINCE 2 Project Management methodology (PRINCE 2) and works at the enterprise level. He/she is expected to manage projects for departments and teams within the company. He/she is involved in delivering products and services for customers within the organization. The most common way to do this is to follow the PRINCE 2 methodology. There are two levels of PRINCE 2 certifications – the entry-level certification called PRINCE 2 Foundation and the Prince2 practitioners advanced certification called PRINCE 2 Practitioner. An entry-level PRINCE 2 practitioner has completed the PRINCE 2 Foundation course. He/she is expected to know and apply the fundamentals of PRINCE 2. He/she may also learn about the application and tools used by project managers, how to manage a project portfolio and how to control costs in a project. At the same time, he/she should be familiar with the concepts of risk analysis, quality planning, quality assurance, stakeholder engagement and change management. A PRINCE 2 practitioner is ready to apply these fundamental concepts in his/her current job. He/she must also learn about the PMBOK and its five processes.
